Andrea did one to one Pilates sessions with me. These started with a full posture and background assessment so that the training was focused on my specific issues. The sessions were fun and incredibly effective. Andrea explains and demonstrates the exercises in a clear and supportive style. I felt challenged but comfortable in trying different methods and levels of training. Andrea created a safe, interesting and friendly environment. She is totally professional and very knowledgeable.

Ultimately having suffered from very painful sciatica the improvement has been fantastic. I now also have a range of exercises I can practice myself to keep me pain free. I was really impressed by what Andrea was able to do for me and cannot recommend her highly enough.’

I had a fairly large operation and had been going to Andrea prior to this for Personal Training and then for Pilates . I can honestly say that by attending these sessions both before and after my surgery my body was better able to equip with my recovery period. I felt more energy, my body was in much better shape and my core strength better than it had ever been during this time. I find Andrea makes these sessions fun, challenging but she wants to always strive to get the best out of her pupils which she has definitely done with me with fantastic results.

 I was first introduced to Pilates back in 2000 following major back surgery.  Unfortunately, I was unable to practice consistently due to high demands at work and at home.

 I have recently retired and this has given me the opportunity to rediscover (Stott) Pilates with Andrea.  At the outset, Andrea sat down with me and explained how she worked. We discussed my goals and objectives and she designed a very thoughtful and productive course to meet my personal needs.

 My sessions with Andrea have concentrated on strengthening my core muscles, providing improved balance and an overall greater sense of wellness. I’m really beginning to notice a significant improvement in my mobility. I’m holding myself differently and as a consequence, my nagging backaches are at last, diminishing.

 Andrea is very personable and looks for precision but will adjust exercises to match your ability before moving forward to challenge those abilities. Our sessions fly past and are thoroughly enjoyable.  I can’t imagine my life now without doing it.

I am in my 60’s and have not exercised for years.
As a beginner  I chose 1- 1 Pilates in order to understand the technique required and gain confidence in my ability to move forward with Pilates.
Andrea is an excellent coach, very patient with a willingness to help me understand the techniques involved. The first session involved a body scan in order that Andrea could work out an individual  plan for my needs.
I have had four sessions and not only am I finding it very rewarding, I can feel an improvement in my core muscles, my legs feel stronger and my posture is improving.
I hope to continue with 1-1 and hope to eventually join Andrea in her group session.

I was really lucky to get a recommendation to Andrea at Primary Pilates, this was following a year long saga with Sciatica which resulted in back surgery. My Consultant had advised me to try out a Pilates lifestyle to address current issues and the longer term protection of my spine.
Given my condition and year long trauma, Andrea thankfully agreed to take me on immediately.
Andrea works with various types of patients and this was immediately obvious in her empathy and great desire to help me. She instantly built up a good rapport, gave me great confidence and encouragement to embrace these new skills and life style changes with enthusiasm and belief.
Its obvious she is highly knowledgeable and firmly believes in the Pilates way of life.
She understood my needs and formulated a varied but comprehensive program to address these. I found her a great communicator, and there fore was always very aware of how to perform each exercise, and the purpose and benefit of each.
It is her manner which is so good. She understands individual needs and abilities. She is ultra patient with people as they try to grasp these new skills and is at pains to explain everything. By evaluating performance in each exercise she was able to be innovative with alternatives, especially if someone experiences difficulty or discomfort with particular exercises.
I cant speak highly enough of her and her capability as an instructor and trainer. I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely lady.
